Advent + Christmas

Holy Dark Advent Yoga & Lectio Divina

Advent is the liturgical season when we reflect on God as nestled in the holy dark womb of The Blessed Mother, awaiting birth at Christmas. It’s a time when we can sit in the dark womb of our own lives to connect with our hopes and dreams, longing to be revealed to ourselves and the world. Join teacher Elizabeth Gross for our 4-week series of in-person yoga and meditation practices, meeting weekly on Saturdays at 10 a.m. from November 30th to December 21st. This series is for you if you want to bring your body and heart in line with Advent by way of contemplative practice.

Concert + Community Dinner | December 15

To Warm the Winter’s Eve is a musical celebration of the Celtic mid-winter and Christmas season by acclaimed Irish harpist and singer, Aine Minogue. Minogue has done extensive research into Irish and Celtic winter traditions and has unearthed some unusual and haunting selections from Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, the Isle of Man, and Ireland. The concert is a spellbinding journey through Celtic lore and tradition, mixing music and poetry.

The concert begins at 3 p.m. and is followed by a free and festive community dinner in celebration of the publication of our CTK Cookbook, “Good Things.” Concert tickets for purchase here.
