Ministry for Youth & Children
Children and youth at CTK are treasured members of our community, and are encouraged to participate in all aspects of parish life. Sunday School for children is held on Sunday mornings and childcare is available, and many of our older youth serve as acolytes, ushers, and lay readers. Youth, children and babies are always welcome in our worship space, and are welcome to snuggle up with books and coloring sheets towards the back of the sanctuary on Sundays.
Exploring the Bible for Youth & Families
Join us for a 4-part series for youth & families, where we will explore the origins and history of the Bible, engage with the stories, and learn how to read it in our context. Fun, casual, conversational, and accessible - the only requirement is curiosity!

Sunday School
Sunday School is held on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. Our curriculum is lectionary-based, meaning it follows the same bible readings being used in the church service. Kids engage these stories together, and are encouraged to bring their questions and curiosity! They join the rest of the congregation for Holy Communion.

Family Eucharist
During the program year, the first Sunday of each month is held as a “Family Eucharist” - an intentional intergenerational service that integrates youth and children into the liturgy.
-
Service & Mission
Youth and children participate in the mission of the church, especially in service to the wider community. Our kids volunteer at church events, take care of our church elders, and work on various service projects throughout the year.
-
Seasonal Events
The church year is filled with opportunities for learning, creative worship & community events. We have special youth oriented and all-ages activities for Advent & Christmas, the Feast of St. Francis, Epiphany, Earth Day, Ash Wednesday and more.
